The despair was real - that's why I drew it. I am a very optimistic person, always smiling, and wanted to capture one of those moments when I lost touch with my heart and spiritual being. Thanks again and yes, your work deserves every single compliment you get! Cheers!
That's a tough one. I would have to say it's getting into the subjects head - sort of. I become a part of the person I'm drawing and feel like I know them just a little bit better after I complete a piece. Superficially, I love drawing older men because of all the character lines and the texture of the skin. Women tend to cover up their character with makeup so even when I draw one, I never really know what they look like or what kind of life they have had. Cheers!
I'm not too fond of the simple black backgrounds I put in some of my work. It's very tedious and time-consuming. I draw for its meditative qualities. I'm in a world with someone without the judgement. Cheers!
