Finished! The beards took longer than expected but am pleased. I want to thank the photographer for allowing me to use his work as reference: [link]

I like to experiment with lines and shadows so I made a few changes from the reference photo but hope I still got his likeness in the process. I used a 2B mechanical pencil on Canson Plate/ Smooth paper and spent roughly 40 hours on it.

I love this! the depth in the photo is very well done. :) just realized the shadows you have for the glasses and that too looks very well done :)
tell me kind sir how do you draw a beard ? if someone asks me to draw something i pause when i see facial hair... it's just hard to grasp a way to draw it....

Thank you and thanks for the fave! To draw a beard takes many layers of drawing and erasing. I use the eraser to draw the white hair but you have to do it in many layers to get the depth. Cheers!
